Jesse G. Meeks Board Member
Mr. Meeks is a third year candidate for CAI through the Auctioneers Marketing Institute. He currently holds an auction license in North Carolina and Virginia, and is a North Carolina Real Estate Broker. He is a member of both the National Auctioneers Association and the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is the owner of Jesse Meeks Real Estate Auction & Appraisal, LLC. He specializes in real estate auctions and has done some unique sales such as selling a train depot, a courthouse, an airport, the home of former NC Governor Reid, and beach property. Mr. Meeks was reappointed to a second three- term to the North Carolina Licensing Board in July of 2007. |

Jean W. Woolard Chairperson
Ms. Woolard holds a B.S. Degree and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from East Carolina University. She retired from Plymouth High School as the Teacher/Coordinator of a Business and Office Occupations Program. Ms. Woolard is a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators and a lifetime member of the Natioinal Education Association. She has held offices in the NCAE and the NEA on the local, regional, and state levels and served as delegate to many state and national conventions. After her retirement from the classroom, Ms. Woolard worked for a number of years with the North Carolina Teacher Academy and has been a partner in several retail shops, including antiques. As an antiques dealer, she became interested in auctions. Ms. Woolard has been active in politics for many years, having chaired successful campaigns for several state representatives and working as a liaison for the NCAE in campaigns to elect an education-friendly General Assembly. Ms. Woolard was appointed in October 2009 by the Governor of North Carolina to serve a three-year term representing the public at large. |

William B. Lilly (CAI) (AARE) Board Member
Mr. Lilly is a native of Norwood, North Carolina and has remained there. He was born November 4, 1949, and attended South Stanly High School and Wingate College. He graduated from Reppert Auction School in Decatur, Indiana in December 1972.
Mr. Lilly became licensed as an auctioneer in North Carolina in May 1974, and is licensed in nine other states. Influenced by his father, Branch Lilly who built his own livestock market in Norwood, he remained in the family livestock business until 1988, when his father retired and the family business was sold. Mr. Lilly currently is president of Iron Horse Auction Co., Inc. located in Rockingham, North Carolina. Iron Horse Auction Co. conducts all types of auctions ranging from emerald mines, logging, sawmills, antiques, timber, industrial, and commercial properties. Mr. Lilly has conducted sales for many Fortune 500 companies, as well as several major banks. Additionally, he is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and six other states. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina, and the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Lilly was inducted into the Auctioneer Association of North Carolina's Hall of Fame in 2001 and was the NC Grand Champion Auctioneer in 2004. Mr. Lilly was appointed to the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board originally in 1992 by Governor James G. Martin and served as Board Chairman in 1994/1995. He was appointed to the Board in 1997 by Governor James B. Hunt and served a three-year term. Mr. Lilly was appointed to the Board in October 2009 by the Governor of North Carolina to serve a three-year term.

Keith J. Pierce (GRI) Vice Chairperson
Mr. Pierce is the owner and president of Pierce Auction Service & Real Estate, Inc. located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He currently holds a North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina auctioneer and auction firm license. Mr. Pierce is a professional auctioneer with over 40 years of experience, in addition to being a real estate broker, appraiser, and consultant. He is a licensed North Carolina and South Carolina Real Estate Broker. He currently is the Vice President of the North Davidson Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Pierce is a member, past and present, of the National Auctioneers Association, National Association of Master Appraisers, International Society of Appraisers, Virginia Auctioneers Association, South Carolina Auctioneers Association, Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce, Lexington Chamber of Commerce, National Board of Realtors, Lexington NC Board of Realtors, and North Carolina Board of Realtors. He has held several elected offices with the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina, Inc., including President in 2004.He was inducted into the North Carolina Auctioneers Hall of Fame in January 2004. He has lectured on numerous topics relating to the auctioneer and appraiser profession. Mr. Pierce served previously on the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board from 1998 to 1999 and from 2002 to 2005. He was appointed by the Governor of North Carolina in September 2008 to serve a three-year term. |
